Our process & philosophy

We have a philosophy behind everything we do, and that is to be vulnerable. Vulnerability is the foundation that our most impactful and emotional art is built on. It is what transforms a photograph into a moment for you to feel as you reflect back on it.

We strive to make deep connections with all our clients, and be equally as vulnerable. When we document your milestones, we become a part of your event, and we do not take our role lightly. The art that we create with you is a milestone in our creative journey, as well, and we care about it as if it was our own story. We feel, cry, laugh, sing and cheer with you and your families, we celebrate your successes and mourn your losses, and we truly want to document everything as authentically as possible. We feel our emotional approach allows us to see parts of the day that would potentially go unnoticed if we weren’t completely present in these moments with you.

Art is who we are. It facilitates self-realization in everyone.

To us, you are art. And you are perfect.

the art

The style of photography and videography you are drawn to goes so much deeper than a post shared on instagram. There is emotion behind all art, and you may not resonate with it all, but as artists we wouldn’t want it any other way. How boring would life be if our interests were all the same? This is the beauty of having so many different people in the wedding industry. We are all creating pieces of ourselves with our subjects, and you as the viewer get to decide what work you are drawn to most, and who you connect best with. Who will document your love story the way you can relive and fall in love with it over and over again? When we show up to your wedding, we are carrying the experiences we cherish so much with our past couples and use it to inspire deeper connections between ourselves and the details of your day.

Since you’re considering us (yay!!!), we feel safe to assume that you connected with our work on an emotional level. Now, a little about our deliverables...

THE PHOTOS

When I envision your wedding, I picture more than the first kiss, the cake cutting, and the obvious wedding day moments that I will of course document, but they aren't necessarily the most unique to your story. I romanticize the in-between moments that bridge all the grand ones - how to creatively capture the energy, connections and overall feel of your day. The excitement in a hallway immediately following the ceremony, the ear-to-ear smile and heavy breathing in the middle of the dance floor after dancing your heart out to your favorite song, the quick kisses and whispers between talking to guests. These little details are the personal touches to your day that I feel the gallery would be hollow without. Because this is what makes the wedding yours.

The art I create with the event you curate becomes a part of me, and I do not take this opportunity lightly. I hope you notice something new every time you look through your wedding photos, and get butterflies when reliving all the wonderful moments from this day.

THE VIDEO

While our photos capture the stills of each moment, I aspire to have your film fully immerse you in the day - even years and years later. This is why I am so passionate about our wedding videography. When you watch your film, I want you to feel like you are back walking down the aisle full of anticipation and excitement; feeling so loved while listening to a thoughtful toast; having childish glee in a room surrounded by all your closest people; or back on the dance floor singing your heart out to your absolute favorite song. I want you to have goosebumps as you reminisce in these moments playing on a screen. I strive to tell each story as authentically as possible, making it so each film I create is incomparable to another. Your wedding film will not only be a blend of both your personalities, but also the essence of your event.

When it comes to the creation, I could not be further away from the “copy and paste” wedding videographer. There is no love story identical to another, so why should your film be?
